Dead Calm
This Australian thriller is set on the ocean, where a young Nicole Kidman finds herself in a good deal of trouble when Billy Zane comes aboard her husband's boat. Billy does a deranged sociopath so well it's no wonder he'd take on future roles like Cal in Titanic so successfully.
Most of the way through this is a pretty intense film, so if you don't like being scared Dead Calm may be one to avoid. There are some especially graphic scenes, particularly when our leading lady finds what's been hanging out in Billy's boat.
Sam Neill, the bandana-wearing paleontologist in Jurassic Park, also stars as Kidman's husband.
