With the sketch of murder suspect Bob on hand, Truman and Cooper make a rounds of interrogations to get more information.
They interview Dr. Jacoby, who claims he had tailed Laura's killer but then lost him. Then they find the one-armed man, a suspect himself, only to find him completely clean. Their trail leads to a veterinary office, where it is deduced their killer was a patron.
Norma attends the hearing of her incarcerated husband Hank, who has made parole. She promises him a job at the diner pending his release, which will inevitably affect her affair with Ed.
Deputy Andy is forced to undergo shooting lessons with Hawk after a close misfire outside a motel. Audrey makes some surprising revelations to Donna in the high school bathroom, some of which involve Cooper, with whom she's tragically infatuated.
