Leland Palmer attends his arraignment in connection with the murder of Jacques Renault. The judge doesn't issue a sentence, but advises Leland to not leave town.

Maddy and Donna act upon a plan to steal Laura's diary from the highly agoraphobic Harold Smith. Donna allows him to record facts about her life for his novel in exchange for the reading of further excerpts from her diary. When Donna ultimately tries to flee with it in her hands, Harold follows her outside where he starts to seize.

Tajimura initiates a business transaction with Ben Horne, offering a hefty sum for the acquisition of hotel real estate. The higher motives behind Tajimura's master plan, however, remain a mystery.

When it is determined Leo will be returning home, Bobby and Shelly make the necessary preparations to accommodate him.

Cooper infiltrates One-Eyed Jacks again, now with Sheriff Truman, to rescue Audrey from Blacky and Jean Renault.
