Hawk arrives at Harold Smith's home and discovers his body hung up in the garden, ultimately closing off the discovery of Laura's reasoning for putting her diary in his hands.
Leo's invalidity has put a damper on household income, causing Bobby and Shelly to go through domestic issues of their own.
Audrey confronts her father about One-Eyed Jacks, forcing him to own up to Laura's involvement, and the subsequent feelings he developed for her. The Sheriff and Truman later have him arrested while in a meeting with Tajimura.
Pete gets a scare when he discovers this mysterious Japanese man in his house later that night. Tajimura reveals his true self to Pete in an amusing overture, before speaking in the voice of the long-missing Catherine.
Leland stands at the mirror, poised to await Maddy's departure from Twin Peaks, but he has something else in mind. He has been harboring Bob, who we see has been living inside of him all of this time. Leland takes form as the killer before staging his attack on Maddy, in what is one of the more horrifying segments of the show.
