Holy Sh*t - Notes on 2020, Vol. 19

In furtherance of most people’s reclusive distancing, show-binging lifestyles going into this winter, I sincerely hope we get treated to a documentary series that walks us through the legal battle Trump and Giuliani are putting us through. I mean, wow. To think that the Trump administration, the Trump family, and other assorted Trump-protecting crooks were entertainment before the election.

I’ll tell you what, America, if you needed a further indicator as to how much the president gives a fuck about you, check out Trump’s attendance at the latest White House COVID briefings. He is nowhere to be seen. Instead, he is wasting time trying to steer the election standings to his favor. What a sad time to be living in America.

I say count the votes as many times as you want. And see what happens. In my mind, it’s Biden no matter how long it takes to make Trump and his cult satisfied. And while we’re at it, let’s review every goddamn election year since the beginning of the American presidency, and see how the accuracy holds up. Why is this the cheating election year? Because the Cheeto says so? And why were Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin on the chopping block? Do these states have a reputation for being cheaters? Overall, historically blue states went blue, and historically red states red. There were obviously some rollovers, but nothing that substantiated a landslide for Joe Biden. Why would there have been? Generally, south, southwest, and midwest areas of the US still favor Trump. His widest sources of support came through like we (and he) knew they would. So what’s the big deal?

Giuliani’s legal meeting at the construction site in Philly should be an indicator to us all how seriously the country should take Trump’s election dispute.

It’s the children in the US that I worry about most. At least the ones old enough to understand what is happening, who are looking at the president’s behavior, and forming impressions. What a bad example Trump is setting right now for the American youth. But Repubs can’t think about that, can they? It’s all about those legal votes.
