Dear Jersey,
Why is it that just as of Monday, April 5, librarians are able to get their vaccine? Librarians! They’re public, customer-facing workers like healthcare personnel, law enforcement officials, and teachers. Are they not?!
Libraries are great, but one would imagine they aren’t the cleanest places to be even under non-pandemic circumstances; all those books coming in and out, touched by hundreds of hands...I think it’s wild the librarians are just having their day now.
They should’ve been right up there with the most vulnerable of them. Seriously. If you happen to be a librarian, I hope you have at least procured a date for your initial vaccination. Bless you.
Jersey, please be nicer to your librarians! I hope none of them experience long waits during their appointments. It’s been an unfair road already.
