Holy Sh*t - Notes on 2021, Vol. 28

President Biden is undoubtedly hard at work putting out fires, reestablishing relationships, facilitating new vaccination planning, and getting rid of those glib, gilded Oval Office curtains our favorite Cheeto had installed during his tenure.

As our country heads into vaccination shortage territory, the Biden Administration is forced to rethink vaccine production and distribution to provide the country with its COVID needs. And consequently, the previous administration had no plan in place for this dilemma to start with.

While I can’t conceivably speculate as to what level of effort has to prevail to reinstate COVID vaccinations on an abundant level, I am comforted in the notion that the vaccination “helm” is in reliable hands. 2021, while it may not pose the insurmountable, panic-inducing obstacles spring 2020 provided—and with that, the conservative, under-zealous measures created to mitigate them—there is still a lot of work to be done before we can live life normally again. Because normal is not the now, not when we’re thinking and living in “pods.”

We’re all cohabitating in small pods, are we not? For me, this is rather accurate. I’ve lived with no more than two other people for the past six months. While I’m sure pods of others may contain higher numbers, my assumption is they’re not topping the dozen mark. Surely, if you’re living in the Northeast, your pod should not be in the double-digit zone. I’m not saying this to be a bossy, pretentious boob—I’m only looking out for your health!
